As we work to reorganize and create new and exciting exhibitions in historic Town Hall/Market House, we are pleased to announce several opportunities for you to experience your local museum.
Hops & History
Beginning September 15 and running through December 8, we are teaming up with Adventure Brewing Company South (Located at 3300 Dill Smith Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22408) to host a series of community exhibitions. Hops & History is a free event that is open to the public– food and beverages are available for sale throughout the evening and members receive special discounts!
September 15: Rappahannock River; the origin of Fredericksburg
October 13: Transportation Transformation; the development of Interstate-95, Route 1, and Fredericksburg as a commuter-town.
November 10: Farm to Bar; cultivation and science behind your favorite brews
December 8: Industry in Fredericksburg; a then-and-now look at industrial Fredericksburg.
Bricks and Boards in the ‘Burg
Hallowed Ground Tours, in partnership with the Museum, offers walking tours every Saturday morning from April 23 thru October 8. Tours leave Market Square at 10:00 and last about 90 minutes. Come explore the history and architecture of our beautiful city!
