Where the Past Is Present… Where the Arts Are Alive

Programs & Events

What’s New?

As we work to reorganize and create new and exciting exhibitions in historic Town Hall/Market House, we are pleased to announce several opportunities for you to experience your local museum.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series

Beginning June 3 and running every Friday night through September 9, historic Market Square will be ringing with the sound of great bands!  Bring your chairs and your dancing shoes, and enjoy the Sounds of Summer!  Adventure Brewery will be selling beer and wine on the First Friday of every month, and our member’s tent will return better than ever!  These FREE concerts are a great way to get out and enjoy the Fredericksburg community.

Bricks and Boards in the ‘Burg

Hallowed Ground Tours, in partnership with the Museum, offers walking tours every Saturday morning from April 23 thru October 8. Tours leave Market Square at 10:00 and last about 90 minutes.  Come explore the history and architecture of our beautiful city!

Monster Mash-Up

On June 4th from 3-5 pm in Council Chambers, kindergarten art students from Hugh Mercer Elementary School, will show off their Monster projects!  Combined with a local artist’s rendition of their art work, these pieces are sure to delight!
