As Fredericksburg prepares to reflect on the significant role it played in our Nation’s history, one of Fredericksburg’s native sons is opening the doors to an unprecedented collection of historic paintings marking 150 years since the historic Battle of Fredericksburg.

Larry D. Silver, President and CEO of Silver Companies is providing ten emotionally charged oil paintings from his private collection to the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the battle. These paintings, commissioned by Larry Silver beginning in 2006 as part of the Celebrate Virginia Art project, have never before been seen by the public.

Special thanks to the University of Mary Washington for their generous support of this exhibition and associated events.
