Expanded Second Saturday (Family Day)are quarterly family programs held on the second Saturday of the months of November, February, May, and August. The Museum will continue to have Second Saturday at the Museum from 1-3pm on all other months of the year. Both Second Saturday at the Museum and expanded Second Saturday programs includes hands-on activities, make-and-take crafts, and an opportunity to explore the Museum’s exhibits. These programs are FREE unless otherwise specified. Participants and their families can also explore the Museum free of charge during the program.

About Multicultural Tea

Our next Family Day will be held on February 8, and will feature our Multicultural Tea. This year FAMCC has decided to give the Colonial Tea an international twist by featuring ceremonies and etiquette lessons from various cultures from around the world, including Japanese, Middle Eastern, Uruguayan, Turkish and a traditional colonial tea presentation.

If you can’t make the tea party, stop by the Town Hall for a free drop in program from 1-3 pm and stay and explore our British Heritage, American Style exhibit. Learn about the colonial tea trade and make tea bags of your own to take home.

Reservations for the Multicultural Tea must be made in advance at the FAMCC website. Children must attend with a parent of guardian. Tickets per person are $10/person for members and $12/person for non-members.

You may register online here or you may call the Education & Volunteer Coordinator Janelle Kennedy at 540-371-3037 x142 or by email at jkennedy@famcc.org.
