About Sounds of Summer
The Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center is pleased to announce the return of its highly anticipated Sounds of Summer concert in historic Market Square beginning on Friday, June 3, 2016. This year’s concert is presented by Union Bank & Trust, The Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority, The Fredericksburg Art Commission, Stafford Printing, Adventure Brewing, and the Rotary Club of Rappahannock-Fredericksburg. The 15-week concert series will feature a free public concert every Friday night from 7:00 – 9:00 PM in historic Market Square located at 907 Princess Anne Street. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy family-friendly music by local and regional bands. First Friday concerts will include beer from Adventure Brewing, available for sale to the public, 21 years of age and older. Members of the FAMCC who were current in April 2015 are invited to join us in the member’s tent for complimentary beverages. If you are not a member of the Museum concert goers can join at www.famcc.org or on-site during the concerts. The 2016 lineup is: June 3rd – Wylder* June 10th – The Duskwhales June 17th – Rue Snider June 24th – The Phipps and the Funk Junkies July 1st – Elby Brass* July 8th – The Michael Coleman Band July 15th – David Childers and the Serpents July 22nd – The Acoustic Onion Band July 29th – University of Mary Washington Faculty Ensemble August 5th – Bombadil* August 12th – The Davis Bradley Duo August 19th – Adwela and the Uprising August 26th – Cabin Creek September 2nd – The Working Effective* September 9th – Steve Jarrell and the Sons of the Beach INFORMATION: Located in historic Market Square, 907 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM every Friday (June 3 – September 9). Concerts are FREE and open to the public. Donations to the Fredericksburg Area Museum & Cultural Center are welcomed and appreciated!
