About Evening with an Expert

FAMCC's Evening with an Expert lecture series brings in local and regional scholars to present lectures on topics related to the Museum's permanent or temporary exhibitions. Lectures are held in the Mansard Gallery at 1001 Princess Anne Street. Doors open at 6:30pm with the lecture commencing at 7:00pm. This program is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required. Please RSVP to Tramia Jackson at tjackson@famcc.org or call 540.371.3037 x400. Seating is limited and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Route 1 and Interstate 95  (I-95) have had a tremendous impact on the development of the Fredericksburg region. Listen to Anne Miller, Senior Research Analyst and Historian of the Virginia Center for Transportation Innovation and Research (VDOT) and Emily Taggart Schricker, Vintage Route 1 Tour & Downtown Community Day (HFFI), discuss the history of these infrastructures and their continued impact on the Fredericksburg area to today.
