About Neighborhood Tours - History of Our Homes

Participants on this walking tour, titled Neighborhood Tours-- History of Our Homes, will walk through one of the most prominent residential areas of Fredericksburg’s Historic District, including Lower Caroline Street and Washington Avenue. Tour guides will discuss centuries of architecture and will unravel the histories of people who helped shape the Fredericksburg community. The meet up spots for the specialty tours will vary by neighborhood.

About Domestic Residents: Charles Street and Hanover Street

Join us on as we explore the homes and history of one of the City’s oldest neighborhoods. Tour guides will discuss centuries of architecture and will unravel the histories of people who helped shape the Fredericksburg community. These tours are conducted on April 6, May 25, July 6,  August 31, and October 12.  These tours depart at 11:30 am from various locations and last approximately 75 minutes.

On August 31, your guide will discuss the people and homes of Charles Street and Hanover StreetThis tour will begin at 11:30. Participants are asked to meet beside the St. James House, 1300 Charles Street.

The cost is $5/adult $2/child and $2/student. Participants will receive a discounted entry fee into the Museum. The tour is FREE for Museum members.
