About Corsets, Class & Consumption

This fall our returning adult lecture series, Evening with an Expert will focus on our newest exhibit Woman Adorned. The series begins on October 8 with Brenda Rosseau, the Director of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation’s Costume and Design Center. Ms. Rosseau will discuss class, dress and culture during Fredericksburg’s colonial period and will bring items to try on in her lecture Corsets, Class & Consumption. Visitors in period costumes are welcome.
