About Colonial Tea Party

The Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center is pleased to announce our annual Colonial Tea Party on February 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., as part of Second Saturdays at the Museum family programming.  Children will enjoy a formal tea with a parent or other adult in the Museum’s Council Chamber, located in historic Town Hall.  The attendees will hear a presentation on the history of tea and the importance of tea in the colonies.  Participants will have an opportunity to sample different types of teas and refreshments, make crafts, and dress in period clothing.  $10/per person for members, $12/per person for non-members.  Pre-registration and pre-payment are required, 540-371-3037, ext 142, or jkennedy@famcc.org.  Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited.

Children not participating in the tea party can join their parents in the Museum’s learning Center from 1-3 pm to create a craft and learn about the colonial era.  There is no charge or registration for this drop-in program.
