About Cash in the Attic Appraisal Fair

On Saturday, April 13th, several appraisers will be on hand to appraise personal objects, antiques, and family heirlooms. The verbal appraisals provide background information on items, including approximate value. Items may be collectibles of any kind, including household items, art, jewelry, furniture, textiles, toys, coins, and equipment. Antique firearms may be appraised, but no modern or contemporary firearms will be allowed. Event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations are not required.

Tim Luke has extensive background in the antique and collectibles field. Aside from his role on HGTV’s Cash in the Attic he has participated as an appraiser on the PBS’ Antique Roadshow. Before becoming an independent consultant, he worked at Christie’s auction house in New York City. Tim has appeared as an expert appraiser on the Today Show, The View, Oprah, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, CNN, and Lifetime Television. Other appraisers include Greg Strahm, Luke’spartner from TreasureQuest Appraisal Group, Inc., and several local appraisers.

All proceeds from the weekend support the mission of the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center.
